Games
Have fun adventures with Lemony.
ExperimentIn a layered jar of soil and sand, children can watch earthworms mix the different ground layers.
Children understand how important earthworms are for healthy soil and how they decompose organic material.
Fill the jar with alternating layers of soil and sand.
Place a layer of moist leaves on top.
Carefully put 2–3 earthworms into the jar.
Cover the jar with the dark cloth (earthworms don't like light).
Briefly lift the cloth each day and observe the changes.
After 1–2 weeks, return the worms to the garden.
